Itinerary in Brief
Day 1: Hanoi.
Transfer from airport to hotel. Experience Vietnamese hospitality at home of musicians; hosted meal and flute and piano performance by the hosts.
Day 2: Hanoi.
Discover a historic Buddhist temple, the Temple of Literature; gain a flavour of local life with a walking tour of the old quarter; visit an artist's studio and participate in face & body painting.
Day 3: Hanoi.
Participate in a puppet making workshop at Dao Thuc village and a water-puppets show in lotus pond; experience a memorable scenic drive to meet a 'Tohe' sculpture artisan
Day 4: Hanoi to Halong Bay.
Feel the vibe of an exotic sailing on a luxurious junk in Halong Bay. Indulge in a fresh seafood lunch; discover a floating fishing village; experience a bamboo boat sailing to view spectacular sunsets from limestone caves. Participate in a cooking demonstration and dinner and overnight onboard.
Day 5: Halong Bay to Hanoity
Wake up to an amazing sunrise over the bay; take a Tai Chi class on upper deck. Continue to Sung Sot grotto to view an oddity of stalactites of numerous shapes. Indulge in a late buffet brunch while cruising back to shore. Motor back to Hanoi and discover a pottery workshop along route.
Day 6: Hanoi to Hue.
Take a Domestic flight from Hanoi to Hue. Transfer to hotel. Enjoy a cyclo ride with a guided visit to the Imperial Citadel, a UNESCO site. Visit magnificent Thien Mu pagoda.
Day 7: Hue.
Explore the Khai Dinh Royal Tomb. Try kite flying and visit a kite craftsman; delight in a hosted meal at the home of a chef to the Royal households.
Day 8: Hue to Hoi An.
Experience the locals up close and personal. Cycle through the rice fields to Thanh Toan village. Engage with the farmers on the field and learn about traditional water buffalo ploughing. Experience traditional fishing on a Sampan; chat with fortune teller and then experience a local-hosted lunch. Revel in a scenic drive to Hoi An before arriving at the beach resort
Day 9: Hoi An.
Leisure day at the beach; water sports, bikes available.
Day 10: Hoi An.
Transfer from resort to old town of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site - discover the 400 year-old Japanese covered bridge and SE Asia's most colourful market. take the opportunity to tailor an article of clothing which will be ready the next day. Visit with traditional lantern artisans and create your own lantern as a souvenir.
Day 11: Hoi An to Da Nang to Hanoi.
Transfer from Hoi An to Da Nang for domestic flight to Hanoi. Transfer to International flight.
